During of 3 days of practice all the students will be introduced to the Eight Vital Principles of Centered Yoga Practice by Dona Holleman. Starting from the Medative State of Mind or ‘no-doing’ of the mind and through the Intent we’ll discover the Energy Body or ‘no-doing’ of the Physical Body.
The yoga practice will become different, without effort, but with quiet, deep and revitalizing movement for your re-birth our Inner Vital Energy. The use of bandha throughout breathing can be possible from the observation of the movement of the physical diaphragms and using them to do the asana. From the Standing Poses where we will do the experience of the force of gravity we proceed through of the asana until to the first inversions and backbends, where the balance become a play between ‘porteur and agil’ in the movement. Balance is the state of a quiet body.
Mulabandha breathing will be the base of our practice, with the support of our energy body we can realize our personal and natural asana respecting our body, because Dona Holleman says that ‘the yoga has to learn the body, not the body has to learn yoga’.
We’ll observe the breathing with total attention and with quiet mind and relax body to learn to follow our natural internal movement of diaphragm, that <like the equator, it is the dividing line of two great halves of being: the conscious and the unconscious, the voluntary and the involuntary, the skeletal and the visceral> (Mabel Todd, The thinking body).
